Core Values and ultimate goals

The current state which our civilization finds itself in, is a direct result of human behavior.

This behavior is a direct result of ‘cultural incentives’ that continually change at an exponentially increasing rate.

It’s not what we believe, it’s what we think everyone else believes.

These ‘cultural incentives’ (ranging from government guidelines to political correctness, or from algorithmically incentivised content creation to socially accepted norms) are created and activated in us mostly through the information we consume and share.

It will be our responsibility to create a system which redefines our (digital)behavior, to set up incentives that better reflect what basically all humans long for. 

 

Culturally, our ultimate goals need little adjustments, even the most fierce capitalists among us want more and more prosperity for more and more people. We all want basically the same thing, we just don’t agree on the price - this is why we need core values, the price we’re paying today is simply not worth it. And it's not including everyone.

Some of us, thankfully, happen to believe that we are capable of achieving more, even faster, involving far less destruction and suffering while actually contributing to the uplifting of all humans, to the upgrading of mankind.

The current digital landscape lacks a robust and universally accepted ethical framework to guide the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence.

This absence of ethical grounding opens a Pandora's Box of potential risks and negative consequences, particularly as AI becomes increasingly integrated into the fabric of our digital lives.

Without a clearly articulated and rigorously enforced ethical compass, AI systems risk being deployed to automate surveillance, refine algorithmic manipulation, and perpetuate existing systemic biases, thereby exacerbating the very problems that plague the current digital ecosystem.

This ethical oversight is not merely a philosophical concern; it is a pragmatic imperative that must be addressed proactively before the pervasive integration of AI amplifies existing societal and digital inequalities.

Clean slate for tech - we will simply abolish all that is clearly wrong or useless and start building from there, but backwards, starting with the (digital)needs of people.

Clean slate for users - they will finally be able to choose an alternative that's usefulness outweighs the fear and hassles of a big change.

From there we fine-tune, test and improve again.

Can we imagine a single company of the future doing some of what Alphabet and most of what Facebook, Apple, Uber, Netflix, Ebay, Spotify, Zoom, etc, do combined?

We want to get to a future where we can do even more than the above allow us to do, without paying the high price we currently pay, and we must get there fast. Unfortunately, fast is the only way, considering the forces and interests at play currently.

Collaboration and adaptability to change is what will enable us to thrive as in all nature as well as in- and around us.

Can we create something that will be all perfect? Do we have everything figured out? No. but we can do our best and create something as beautiful and sophisticated as some of the most evolved beings collectively could possibly create.

It is a quest from our highest selves, and refusing to embark on it, would be to deny and disappoint not only ourselves, but all of humanity.
